These terms apply specifically to the SMS messaging program operated by AutoMate, LLC ("AutoMate", "we", "us"). By opting in (see Section 2), you agree to these terms. For our broader privacy practices, see our Privacy Policy.
AutoMate uses SMS to communicate with dealership service contacts about car wash equipment maintenance. Messages include:
We send only transactional / informational messages directly tied to your service relationship with us. We do not send marketing, promotions, or third-party content.
SMS opt-in is entirely optional. Receiving SMS from AutoMate is not a condition of any service we provide, and we do not require SMS consent to start, continue, or complete a service contract. Customers who choose not to opt in are served exclusively by phone, email, and in-person communication.
Opt-in to AutoMate SMS is collected one way:
Service-request form: When submitting a service request on AutoMate's online form (see the opt-in page at automatepaintprotection.com/sms or the service portal), you may tick an SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default, and the form submits whether or not it is ticked — SMS opt-in is never a condition of service. Ticking the box and submitting records your opt-in (mobile number, timestamp, and the exact disclosure shown) in AutoMate's consent log.
You will only receive SMS at the phone number you provided. AutoMate does not transfer phone numbers between contacts or programs.

For real questions about your service, just reply normally — your message reaches a real AutoMate technician or admin.
Message frequency depends on your service activity. A typical service interaction might involve 3-5 messages (acknowledgment + en-route + completion + any follow-up Q&A). Active maintenance customers might receive 5-15 messages per month total.
We do not send daily, weekly, or scheduled marketing blasts.
AutoMate is not responsible for any carrier charges incurred from SMS communications.
We support all major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and most prepaid and MVNO carriers. We don't currently support international SMS.
If a message fails to deliver to your number, we may follow up by phone using the same contact number.
Your phone number, message content, and SMS history are stored in our secure database and used only to provide service-related communication. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
We don't share your phone number with anyone outside AutoMate, except our SMS provider (Twilio) which is contractually required to handle your data only as needed to deliver messages.
AutoMate uses commercially reasonable efforts to deliver messages reliably, but does not guarantee that any specific SMS will be delivered, or delivered within a specific timeframe. Messages may be delayed or undelivered for reasons outside our control (carrier outages, dead zones, your handset off, etc.). Do not rely on SMS for time-critical safety communications — always call us at 623-810-4040 if you need urgent assistance.
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via SMS to opted-in contacts before taking effect. Continuing to use our SMS program after a change means you accept the updated terms.
